Writing brush (mao bi) with sheath. It has a long bamboo shaft and bristles made from animal hair, which is in poor condition as the majority of the hairs are cropped. The shaft is engraved with Chinese inscriptions, which indicate the type of brush and its maker. The brush is capped with a bamboo sheath.
