pillow end

A semi-circular shaped embroidered textile, described as an amulet case in the museum documentation, but in fact a pillow end. It is fan-shaped and has a butterfly and two blossoms applied to a cream satin background, using pink, black and green satin fabric. There are pink applied strips at the top and blue at the sides. There is an applied purple fan in the centre bottom and two lime green applied strips. Endless knots and a pair of scroll motifs are painted onto the applied strips.
