Part of a carved wooden archway, made from teak wood. A carved wooden pillar, square in cross section at the top and bottom section, with a cylindrical central section. The cylindrical section is carved throughout with vertical lines of flower designs and peacock feathers. At the top, one face which faces outwards, is intricately carved. The one to the right of this is plain. The one to the left has a vertical slot cut into it for a panel to slot into. This is marked ‘L’(This connects to part 11). The back face has two batons into which a panel slots, this is marked ‘D1’ (This connects to part 32). At the top end a square joint protrudes, this is marked ‘XXXIX’ (This passes through part 5). At the bottom, one of the four edging sections has come away, but is still present. This removed piece was labelled ‘Front 14’.
