stupa model

Model stupa made from brass with flat underside. The stupa is bell-shaped, and has a two-tiered base with three further tiers immediately above. These are all decorated with engraved vegetal patterning. The main body of the stupa is undecorated. At the top is a four-cornered panel decorated in the same way as the tiers below, with a fruit design below each corner. From a square tier above this rises the neck, gently tapering and decorated with bands of narrow patterning. Below the bud-shaped finial, small leaf-shapes are suspended around a projecting tier, most now missing.
