Circular bowl with lid, bidri ware. The bowl has a low stand and a shallow domed lid with a bud-shaped knop. The object is decorated all over the outer surface in tarkashi and tehnishan technique with horizontal bands of geometrical and floral design with star- and leaf-shaped motifs. Along the rim of the lid the is a chevron design, which has a slightly raised band of stylised lotus petals near the knop. Inside the bowl there is a circular medallion in the form of a stylised lotus; along the inner rim a band of lotus petals.

This is eighteenth or early nineteenth century from the Deccan. A comparable piece is V&A object 2067-1883(IS), illustrated in plate 50 in Stronge, 1995.
