Brass water pipe and side case for tobacco smoking. The water pipe has a goose-neck stem terminating with a trumpet-shaped bottom end, which is connected to a funnel-shaped water container with Chinese inscriptions engraved on flared base: 'shuang cheng sheng bai zi zao'. It was probably made and engraved by the owner himself. The water pipe case is for holding tobacco with hinged lid, a tubular holder at either side for keeping cleaning utensils such as tweezers and brush. A flanged pipe is inserted through the hole of a saddle-like strap to keep the case in place to the side of the water pipe.
