Skirt (cotton cloth). Late 19th/early 20th Century. Central Hungary. Rectangle of fine blue cloth; embroidered in a broad band near the hem in heavy white threads. Features foliage and flowers (the dye from the blue material has run and turned the white threads blue). Broad band of white lace attached to the hem. No waist band – possibly unfinished. 54 x 25”.Collected by Mrs Kaufmann at the beginning of the century and presented with other Eastern European clothing.
