A leather bag. Benin River. Date unknown. The bag has long leather tassels attached to its body and covering flap. There are colourful threads extending from three circular motifs on the top of the opening of the main body of the bag. The inside of the circular motifs have cut out incisions that look similar to a lotus root cross-section. There are also wave patterns embroidered into the leather. There is a knot with a piece of long material that would be used to secure the bag shut.
