textile; sample (textiles)

Rectangular piece of linen textile made up of two sections machine stitched together at one longer edge, possibly part of a blouse. The embroidery has been worked on a diagonal so that when the two pieces are joined a series of chevrons is created. The embroidered bands are of two alternating designs and use multi-coloured cotton threads and small beads. There are two small areas of blanket stitch in black cotton, which might be sleeve holes of a blouse.
