Shawl (cotton). Red cotton cloth with small yellow, blue and white shapes all over it dyed following a tied resist process. In two places along the short edge there are short border strips of thick cotton with heavy pendant elements, one with 19th century rupee coins on it, the other with metal ornaments and bobbles. Also in the centre a row of metal ornaments and bunches of knotted string. Lth. 8' 6" Wth. 4' 9". Part of a costume.
