Rectangular, white, tabby-woven cotton textile decorated with painted cassava starch resists. The textile is cut at both plain shorter sides. The decoration consists of sets of thin lines creating bands and stripes which divide the textile into smaller rectangles. The rectangles contain geometric, foliate and floral patterns. The textile appears ready to be dyed. On one of the plain areas is what appears to be a maker's mark (also painted with resist).
