Painted wooden cabinet with seven panels. The two central square panels, which are possibly hinged on wood dowels, are flanked by two rectangular panels of the same height. Positioned below are three rectangular panels. The apron at the bottom of the cabinet is decorated with a stylized wang zi border, a common decorative motif across East and Southeast Asia, which became fashionable in Tibetan furniture in the 19th century. Wang zi is associated with good fortune.
