Incense burner in the form of a cockerel in pierced brass with an intricate design of floral and vegetal forms in geometric designs. The bird figure has been bolted to a pedestal which has around the sides medallions containing depictions of human figures, and with the exception of its legs and beak is hollow. The tail is detachable and is worked with a similar design. The base is cast, but the pierced areas are of beaten sheet metal.
