Pagoda in two parts, the base consisting of the podium with steps and railing, the upper part a hexagonal, five-tiered tower. The body of both is of pale grey stoneware highlighted with white, green, and brown glaze. The pedestal has six rectangular panels with blue underglaze decorations, bordered with a band of cloud-collar designs above, and a band of fleur-de-lis patterning at the bottom. The enclosed area of the podium is painted with brown wash. There is a tubular support at the centre to stabilise the tower block. The base is flat and unglazed. The tower section of the pagoda is of hexagonal plan with five storeys, each storey modelled with an arched door opening on main facade, open-work windows and upturned eaves. Details of the bracket-work and eaves are highlighted with iron brown pigment. The tower is hollow with a round hole on the flat, unglazed base for inserting onto the podium base. Such pieces were made for export to Europe.
