Headdress from the Duk Duk secret society, composed of a conical construction, possibly of split bamboo, on a circular base. This cone is bound in its upper section with numerous tassels of coconut fibre and feathers. Approximately half way up the headdress’s height, a disk-like projection of spiraled cane is also present, although heavily damaged. Much of the headdress‘s lower portion is bound in a basketry-like weaving of coconut fibre cordage, which has been trimmed with a blue imported textile.
