Chess (shogi) board, a square box of porcelain with rectangular sides, standing on four porcelain legs. The board on the upper surface is marked out in squares with black lines over a design in blue of two water-wheels, flowers and leaves. Green patterned border. The sides; two are decorated with a design of birds on a green patterned ground and the other two with conventionalised leaves flowers etc. in blue, red-line, black-line and green. 6 1/2" h x 14" x 12".
