Polyphonia (No 5_D), chromatic harmonica in D. Two chromatic octaves of note names are inscribed on the top cover plate, from D# to C# on one line, and from D to D on the line below. Inscribed and stamped on the bottom cover plate: 'POLYPHONIA/TRADE MARK' (with trade mark and four prize symbols for trade exhibitions)/'No 5/MADE IN M. HOHNER GERMANY'. Steel cover plates, wooden comb. 25 double holes, 50 reeds. This two octave instrument has the actual pitch (D5-D7) range of a piccolo flute. The paired vertical holes are the same pitch, top horizontal row exhaled, bottom row inhaled. Written from D4-D6. The 1st paired holes on left (lowest D).
