77Wagner tuba in F circa 1885. Four Perinet valves, bottom-sprung (non-compensating) with chimneyed lower caps. Straight-through in-line connections between valves. Silver plated touches. Narrow bore, with receiver to fit trombone mouthpiece. Each branch made separately and connected beneath a ferrule at each yard. Tabbed seam visible along back edge of bell and bell stem, and seams visible on all tubing. Fourth valve has two tuning slides, one of which upward facing. Two water keys. Music holder socket on second valve loop. Bell inscription: 'GOLD MEDAL/PARIS 1878/[STAR]/C. MAHILLON & Co./LONDON/MADE AT THEIR/BRUSSELS/WORKS/[STAR]'
