Carved and painted wooden Antu mask representing male foreigner (white man). Carved from lightweight wood and representing a long face with a projecting nose and forehead. The face is painted yellow with the eyes, ears and mouth defined in black, the lines defining the mouth curving up at each side as if to suggest a moustache, and with a row of vertical stripes joined by a curved black line beneath perhaps representing a beard. The eyebrows and hair are indicated in blue and black paint, the line of the head hair curving down to form a V shape above the face. The small V shaped area above this is unpainted. There are apertures in the ears and a piece of string which was probably used at one time for suspension, but whether in the Undup or after export is uncertain. Undup Iban, Sarawak.
