Long rectangular tabby handspun handwoven cotton blanket, pua kumbu, sewn together along the selvedges of 2 narrower pieces. Each is decorated with a warp ikat design in cream, brown with blue detailing on a reddish brown ground. The design is not symmetrical about the horizontal axis. It includes anthrpomorphic figures. Natural dyes. At each side of the blanket are solidly coloured faded black, cream and red stripes. Towards one end, black and white plaited yarns are interwoven across the cloth; at the other end a similar element, with green and white yarns on one side and yellow and white on the other. The ends of the warp are cut to form a short fringe.
