An English-system 46-button concertina by Wheatstone & Co, circa 1905. Printed oval paper label on the right-hand side ‘C. WHEATSTONE & Co./15. West St., Charing X Rd./LONDON W.C.’. Oval paper label on the left-hand side is printed with the serial number ‘22243’. Rosewood ends with simple fretwork. Domed nickel buttons, bushed, 24 on right-hand side, 22 on left-hand side. One original thumb-strap survives on the left-hand side, and the nickel screws of both thumb straps.
