Blouse of undyed cream cambric, gathered at the neck back and front and bound with bias binding. Secured with a button at the neck and 2 metal poppers, the latter possibly added by the donor. Opening runs full length of blouse. The sleeves are stitched by machine to the main part of the blouse at each side, and gathered where they join the neck binding. They are of a loosely handwoven fabric, cream, embroidered all over in wool in a bold red evenly spaced geometric pattern, with a black cross at the centre of each motif. At the cuffs the sleeved are pleated and secured with a band of commercial cream ribbon, machine stitched onto the sleeve and tied at the ends, leaving a frilled cuff. These are trimmed with lace.
