Sleeveless waistcoat with wide, low neck opening, in black velvet lined with fine cotton cloth. Embroidered with silver-wrapped thread around the neck and to either side of the front opening, more sparsely along the lower edge at the back. At the front the embroidery is charcaterised by peaks of twirled silver thread arranged around the edges of leaf-shaped elements and connected by the veins thereof. Silver-thread braid defined each area of embroidery. Secured at the front by 7 metal thread knot buttons, one of which is missing, with corresponding metal loops on the opposite side, of which 4 remain.
