Carved and painted wooden Javanese mask representing Dewi Srikandi. Two rows of curls represent the hair, reaching across the top and half way down the sides of the mask. These are painted orange, with at the lower centre a hexagonal element painted gold with a small pattern in green. Face painted black with red lips. Only the upper row of teeth has been carved; these are painted off-white. Apertures under eyes, for which the lids are downcast; in nostrils and mouth. A short leather strap on the inside with the emblem of the palace stamped onto it. Holes in each side through which a string, probably not original, has been added.
