Number 24 in a set of 25 cigarette cards entitled 'Picturesque People of the Empire' issued by Ogden's branch of the Imperial Tobacco Co. Ltd. There is a picture on one side with an inscription reading 'Zulu Rickshaw Boy', and a description on the other side. The text on the reverse reads: 'The descendant of a race of warriors, the Zulu at his best is physically one of the finest of the race of Africa, averaging 5ft. 9ins to 6ft. in height. At the present time Zulus are to be found tending the cattle in the native villages, labouring in the factories and diamond mines, serving in the native police force and drawing “rickshaws” in the street of Durban. These Zulu “rickshaw boys” are most picturesque fellows, with their fantastic headdresses of coloured feathers, quills and cow’s horns.'
