Scene from story of Rajapala

Painting, lukisan, of a composite scene from the story of Rajapala, in acrylic paint on sized cloth. On the left upper corner Rajapala is seen shooting an arrow at a deer. Below, in the centrefield, is a pool beneath a tree in which seven nymphs are bathing, six wearing a skirt cloth, kamen, the one at the centre embracing the stream of water falling into the pool from beneath the tree. At upper right Rajapala is seen lifting the missing kamen with a two-pronged stick. Along the lower edge of the scene is a band of regularly spaced cloud motifs with small upward pointing triangles between. The scene is surrounded by a painted frame consisting of narrow stripes in red, green, blue and cream, with at the corners and middle of each side an angular cartouche with foliate decoration. Signed by the artist.
