Shadow puppet lamp, lampu wayang, consisting of a hanging stand into which is set a circular metal dish into which a pottery oil lamp fits. The stand consist of a wooden panel, heavily carved on one side with a Bhoma head and design of flowers and foliage, with on the reverse a semicircle of metal strip extending from near the base to hold the dish in place; a semicircle of wire about a third of the way up to hold the lamp in place, and a rectangular sheet of metal with its lower edge fixed about half way up the panel and bent outwards towards the top. Near the top of the stamd are two hooks; betweeen these two metal loops each attached to a short length of chain, the two chains meeting in a hoop which has a metal hook at the top for hanging. The lamp itself has two apertures at the top, one for adding the oil, the other for the flame. A quantity of wick is with the set.
