Betel box, lutuan, of silver and brass. The container is oblong with the corners squared off, with a handle at each side and a hinged lid. Inside there are three compartments, accessed by opening hinged lids, one for each of the outer smaller compartments and the middle two to open the larger compartment. Traces of lime remain in two of the compartments. The decoration is of scrolling stylised floral and vegetal motifs inlaid in silver into the brass fabric. Loops at each end which would have been for a strap.
