Camel bag formed of rectangle of weft-faced handwoven fabric, each end folded over to meet at the middle. The selvedges have been stitched together along the sides thus forming two large pockets which would hang on each side of the animal. Each pocket opening is secured by means of a thick plaited length of yarn in brown and black which is inserted through slits in the fabric close to the top edge of the pocket. The side of the bag facing the animal's flank is striped, predominately in red and black but with four white stripes on each side. To each lower edge are decorative S shapes, arranged irregularly, in pink, black, white, red and brown. On the central band of the outer side of the fabric is a multi-coloured decorative section consisting of 8-pointed stars and other angular motifs. The outer surface of the pockets are also highly decorated, each with 6 panels of geometric multi-coloured motifs, surrounded by pile borders similalry decorated.
