Strips of bamboo between the cream woven panels forming a prayer flag, or temple wall hanging, from the Dai people. Each panel is decorated with motifs in coloured supplementary weft. These include an elephant, pagoda, peacock and pair of horses as well as flowers and geometric shapes. The patterns are in green, pink, orange, blue, red, black on a cream background.
These objects are only a part of our collections, of which there are more than 350,000 objects. This information comes from our collections database.
