Woman's jacket dyed with vegetable dyes and formed of sections of black cotton fabric lined with indigo-dyed cotton fabric and decorated with vertical bands of braid to either side of front opening. Sleeves have applied strips of braid and sections of tightly stitched embroidery in many colours, on front and back, depicting mythical creatures and sequins and gilding. Further applied decoration including sequins and embroidery to front and back of slit in lower side seams. Similar decoration across shoulder and around back of neck. Along lower hem of reverse of jacket are horizontal strips of applied fabric in green, red and white. The sleeves are folded back to form cuffs. Fastens with ties at lower front opening.
