Soprano cornet in E-flat. Brass tubing with frosted silver plating. Three Périnet straight-though piston valves with lower caps for centering spring. One shank secured within instrument. Mouthpiece missing. Bell, valve casings, valve loops and leadpipe all adorned with decorative floral engravings. Inscription stamped around bell rim reads: 579/H.DISTIN/MAKER/31 CRANBOURN St./LEICESTER SQe./LONDON.
