Bell is stamped: TRADE MARK/DISTIN/patent Light Valve/BOOSEY & Co./MAKERS/295 REGENT STT/LONDON/16912/The Property of the/MECHANICS INSTITUTE & CLUB/BASINGSTOKE; Historic trumpet emblem also appears as part of this inscription. Stamp on second valve casing reads: TRADE MARK/DISTIN/18767; The numbers 13, 14 and 15 are stamped on the casings and valve caps of the first, second and third valves respectively. The letter E is stamped on the first valve slide.
