pipe (narcotics & intoxicants: smoking)

Konyak pipe, the mouthpiece made from a piece of bamboo with a thicker piece of wood forming the rest of the pipe. The point at which the bamboo meets the wood is bound with natural fibres. There is a protrusion on the shaft, and after this, a tiger has been carved from the wood which forms the stem. The tiger is decorated with black stripes, a clearly defined face (missing a nose), and its tail adjoins the pipe's bowl which is carved into the shape of a man's head with pointed nose, large narrow eyes, two protruding ears and a very small mouth. One ear has a large cloth earring threaded through a hole. The earring is missing from the other ear, as well as part of the bottom of the ear itself.
