Valve trumpet. In the shape of a slide trumpet, but with two valves in place of slide. Brass body with white metal crook/mouthpiece receiver ferrules, valve caps, finger buttons, stays, triple ball (pommel) and bell garland. Two Stölzel valves positioned horizontally, parallel to the bell. The first valve ascends a semitone, the second descends a tone. Tuning slide in rear bow. With crook, which is brass with white metal mouthpiece receiver. Bell garland is embossed with thistle, rose and shamrock motifs and features a raised cartouche, on which is engraved: J.T.Covett; The bell is engraved beneath the garland: Improved & Made by/CHAs.
