Bassoon. Maple with brass keys and ferrules. Four keys, block mounted with circular flat flaps and leather pads. Additional thumb lever on butt joint is later. It is saddle mounted on reverse side and connected to F key on the front with wire. Deep recesses cut to accommodate each first finger. Carved knobs below F and D key-plates for partial protection. String-lapped tenons. Bell heavily choked. Sling hook on butt joint ferrule. Long joint and wing joint stamped: .H./.WIETFELT.; Butt joint stamped: .HARM./WIETFELT.
