Woman's apron. Formed of several pieces of black cotton cloth stitched together to form a rectangular lower panel and an upper band curving outwards at each side to a long upper edge to which are attached waist straps formed of a narrow tube of red cloth, extended by a further length of yellow. The lower panel is decorated with vertical strips of narrow applique, further decorated with a little embroidery, to either side of a strip of applied factory-made cloth with a printed diamond design. The upper part is decorated with the same applied strips, embroidery and machine-made cloth arranged in different directions around a small central rectangle of pure embroidery.
