Tai Yuan bag. Formed of two woven lengths of fabric, both of cream fabric with warp stripes chiefly in red. One length is folded over lengthways and forms part of the sides, strap and fringe, the other folded in half across the warp and forming the main side panels of the bag. The two are stitched together with black cross stitches along the selvedges, the rim of bag hemmed in black and reinforced with red stitches around the opening. The bottom of the long piece of fabric forming sides and strap extends below the bottom of the body of the bag where it is stitched across in black yarn; the warp ends are twined to form a fringe.
