Rectangular felt used as a mat for a donkey cart. The cream-coloured panel is decorated with multicoloured applique, and hair fringing in yellow, purple, red, and pink. The applique consists of a rectangle with a central cruciform motif, surrounded by outward-facing dentate frames, on contrasting coloured ground. In the triangular areas the dentate pattern changes to curvilinear motifs on a green ground. At each narrower side is an additional dentate edge. At one of the shorter sides are the shapes 'S' or '8' and '000' applied on a slightly wider cream border.
