Octagonal lacquered lid with a central round medallion on the top, and a round recess in the octagonal base on the inside. The base is lacquered in red, the remainder of the lid in black. The round medallion on the top is depicting a scene with three puppeteers above a curtained area with five string puppets (three camels, two male figures). This scene is surrounded with a polychrome floral border on a blue background. J.S. Ashrapov who painted this box was trained at Tashkent Art School. He painted his first miniature in 1983 and has worked at the Abdul Khasim Medressa since 1988.
