One-handled grey jug, ‘siwak’(Pol. siwy = grey), with geometric decoration and a pouring lip. It was smoke-fired in the absence of oxygen to produce the colour. Irt is decorated with shallow relief depicting geometrically composed floral ornaments. The circumference of the circular base is smaller than the circumference of the top opening. The handle and spout are on opposite sides of the jug. There is a label affixed to base, from the company that collected such things to sell. This gives the name of the maker, traditional name of the object, date of collection (1963), price, etc.
