cheese press

Wooden, more or less horizontal cheese press with 4 legs. Two more or less rectangular horizontal boards one above the other, the top one with a carved piece which fits into a slot formed by another piece of wood at one end. At the other end is a large wooden screw with a curved handle attached to it which when turned pulls the two boards together.

A sophisticated press from Poland. It is hinged at the lower end, and drawn together at upper end by a screw mechanism.
