Mirror bag: flat square with a triangular flap, edged with pink woollen ‘lacework’. Red motif on a green ground, both heavily stitched. The red motif is two joined hands-on-hips, elibelinde, joined with two trefoil ‘heads’ between them. The flap has a green elibelinde on a red ground with ram’s horns. The back of the bag is plain brown felt; the inside of the bag is of plain blue cotton cloth. The opening is lined with a purple velvet strip; with two supporting/hanging loops in purple felt. The red and green combination is a recent development over the last 25 years (Bunn, S. 2010 Nomadic Felts).The technique of a cut and sewn mosaic pattern is called ‘Shyrdak’ (see Bunn pages 60 following).
