Rappau

Upper part of Rappau head dress constructed from a light wood (possibly bean wood) and over painted in white red and black. The wings are painted in zig zag fashion and the bird’s chest is centrally decorated with a lizard motif on one side and a snake on the other. This part of the rappau seems to show some slight stylistic relationship to the Kavat masks of the Melkoi ethnic group,.
