Knife, part 2-edged with two grooves along the blade; guard with curved tips; pistol grip hilt of black horn with cross-hatched incised design; with a repousse brass decoration, white metal pommel and ring. 275mm long.

The stamp on the scabbard could be the arms of a princely state. Dr Kenneth Robbins, donor of The Indian Princely State Legal Documents Collection at the University of Colombia Libraries could help here.
