Porcelain teapot decorated with a scene featuring Shou xing, one of the three Chinese star gods. Shou xing is the god of long life, usually as here portrayed with a long bald head and white hair, and carrying a long staff. The female figure behind carries on a tray two peaches of immortality, with which he is also commonly associated. A deer is depicted behind; in front is a child holding a shell in which a duck is sitting. A bat and Chinese inscription above. There is a floral design painted in gold around the rim of the pot.
