Fan made of iron, stiff paper and lacquer, from Japan. The paper is gold on one side and silver the other, and on both sides there is a large red circle (dot) in the middle (diameter 15.25 cm, 6 in.). One gold and one silver cord with a tassel on end of each hang from the iron handle.
