Overskirt of pandanus leaf strips which would be worn over and over a rolled barkcloth skirt of ankle length. The skirt is constructed by knotting several strips of leaf into a running belt of the same material and, in this case over locking stitching below the belt at two points using a sewing machine. On the outer edge of the skirt there is a pair of constructions in which several varnished cowries are strung together with seeds of the Coix lacryama and the Abrus precatorius.
