Mask of moulded and painted papier-mâché of Vishnu in his avatar as the boar Varaha. Brown complexion with blunt snout and two tusks in white and black. Protruding eyes: black pupils, white eyeballs and red, white and green lashes, black rim above, black below; tika with a black centre on green between; large red eyebrows with green centres and white dots. Wide mouth rimmed with green and black lines, red and white dots and white circular motifs. Third eye vertical, in black and white. Forehead band has five circular motifs: centrally a yellow face with red lines; flanked by two 'bulls eyes' motifs: red centre, white, brown and yellow borders - all on a black ground with green lines. Above are five semicircles: red (centrally) flanked by four in blue, and green with a border of white dots on black. The high panel crown above has five 'teardrop' motifs with 'question marks' above (the sign of unity) in white, yellow bands on brown; each motif separated by a black band. Two painted ears with red and yellow centres, outlined in brown and white; and two painted 'earrings' - white lines in a compass motif on black.
