Net bag (Bedamuni: ésa). A small net bag used by boys to carry small quantities of produce, personal belongings, etc.

Esas are invariably made by women. The rope is made from the bark of the gopéa tree (Buko, Gnetum gnemon). The fibre resulting from beating the bark is intertwined and twisted by the women on the thigh using crumbled white chalk (1982.20) to roughen the fibre.
